The Effects of "Sober Driver" Actions in Brodnica

On February 10, 2025, police officers from the Road Traffic Department of the Brodnica District Police conducted a provincial operation called "Sober Driver". The purpose of this action was to check the sobriety of drivers in the Brodnica district.

During the all-day operation, the officers checked 390 drivers. Unfortunately, they discovered four individuals who were driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol. Among them was a 52-year-old moped rider who had 1 promil of alcohol in his system.

However, the most serious case was that of a 24-year-old resident of the Brodnica district who was driving a personal Audi. The breathalyzer indicated a staggering 1.52 promil of alcohol. He faces a penalty of up to 3 years in prison and a driving ban for this offense.
