Future of OSP Discussed at MSWiA Meeting

On February 12, 2025, a meeting took place at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Warsaw, attended by representatives from the Brodnica Commune. The Mayor of Brodnica, Adam Zalewski, along with councilman Rafał Roman and members of the OSP Szczuka – Kacper Osiński and Janusz Zabłocki, discussed important issues with Deputy Minister Tomasz Szymański and Deputy Minister Wiesław Leśniakiewicz.

During the meeting, key topics related to the needs and equipment of OSP units were addressed. The role of OSP in the new civil protection and civil defense law, as well as the future and development of Volunteer Fire Brigades, were also discussed.

Mayor Zalewski emphasized that OSP is not only a matter of safety but also a strength of local communities. He expressed hope for further cooperation and support for OSP units.
