Heroism on the Streets of Brodnica: Police Officers Save a Man's Life

On February 15, 2025, just before 4 PM, officers from the District Police Headquarters in Brodnica received a report about a man lying on the sidewalk at Nowa Kolonia Street. Officer Piotr Wojciechowski and Officer Kacper Kłosowski immediately responded to the scene.

Upon arriving, the officers found that the 58-year-old man showed no signs of life. They quickly decided to initiate lifesaving measures, starting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Thanks to their rapid response, they were able to restore the man's vital functions, after which he was placed in a safe position.

However, just a few minutes later, the man suffered cardiac arrest again. The officers, maintaining their composure, resumed lifesaving efforts and successfully revived him for a second time. Firefighters from the State Fire Service also joined the rescue operation.

A Medical Rescue Team arrived on the scene, taking over further actions. After providing specialized assistance, the man was transported to the hospital.

This intervention by the Brodnica police officers demonstrates that the motto "We Help and Protect" is not just a slogan for them, but a true commitment to saving lives and health.
