Provincial Operation "Sober Morning" in Brodnica County - Report

On December 8, 2025, in the Brodnica County, Brodnica police officers conducted the provincial operation "Sober Morning". The aim of the operation was to eliminate drunk drivers from the roads and increase safety.

Course of Action

Police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Brodnica conducted sobriety checks of drivers from the early morning hours. A total of 1310 drivers were tested.

Control Results

Unfortunately, two drivers were driving under the influence of alcohol. A 52-year-old resident of the Brodnica commune had nearly 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his system, driving a VW. Meanwhile, a 56-year-old resident of the Jabłonowo Pomorskie commune, driving a Renault, "blew" nearly 0.8 per mille.

Legal Consequences

Both men face up to 3 years of imprisonment and a ban on driving motor vehicles.

The police remind that even a small amount of alcohol negatively affects the ability to drive a vehicle. Regular checks are aimed at improving the safety of all road users.
