Heroism on the Streets of Brodnica: Police Officers Save a Man's Life

On Saturday, February 15, 2025, just before 4:00 PM, a report was received by the Brodnica County Police Headquarters about a man lying on the sidewalk at Nowa Kolonia Street.

Upon arrival, the police officers from the patrol and intervention unit, Senior Constable Piotr Wojciechowski and Senior Constable Kacper Kłosowski, immediately assessed the situation and checked the man's vital signs, discovering that he was in cardiac arrest.

Maintaining their composure, the officers initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Thanks to their decisive actions, they succeeded in restoring the man's vital functions. They placed him in the recovery position, but after a few minutes, he underwent another cardiac arrest. The officers did not give up and resumed rescue efforts, successfully restoring the man's life for the second time.

They were supported by firefighters from the State Fire Service, who also arrived at the scene. Shortly thereafter, the Medical Rescue Team arrived, took over the rescue efforts, and transported the man to the hospital.

This intervention exemplifies that the motto "Helping and Protecting" is not just a slogan for the Brodnica police officers, but a daily mission where saving lives and human health is a top priority.
