National Day of Remembrance for the Cursed Soldiers

On March 1st, Poland celebrates the National Day of Remembrance for the Cursed Soldiers, established by the law of February 3, 2011. This special state holiday honors soldiers who fought against the communist regime and strived for the independence of the country.

On this occasion, the Mayor of Brodnica and the Commander of the 4th Brodnica Chemical Battalion will lay flowers at the Armia Krajowa Monument located at Sądowa Street 5A. The ceremony will take place on February 28 at 12:00 PM, where residents of the city and district will be able to pay tribute to those who fought for freedom.
