Introduction of New Waste Management Fees in Brodnica

Starting on January 1, 2025, new fees for municipal waste management will be introduced in Brodnica. The fee for selectively collected waste will be 37 PLN per month per person.

Fees for Non-Selective Collection

If a property owner fails to comply with selective waste collection, the fee will increase to 74 PLN per month per person.

Discounts for Composting

Homeowners with single-family homes who compost bio-waste will benefit from partial fee relief, paying only 33 PLN per month per person.

New Fee Determination Rules

The new fees were adopted by the City Council of Brodnica in resolution no. VI/66/2024 on November 28, 2024. According to the Cleanliness and Order in Municipalities Act, property owners will receive a notification about the fee amount calculated based on the new rates.

Payment Deadlines

Property owners will be required to make monthly payments by the last day of each month, without the need to submit new declarations.

Individual Bank Account Numbers

From 2025, individual bank account numbers will be introduced for all property owners. The new account numbers will be provided in the notification of the fee amount. In case of early payment, a supplement to the new rates will be required.

Property Owner Obligations

Owners are obligated to report any changes regarding the number of residents, which affects the fee amount. Declarations should be submitted to the Brodnica City Hall.

Reasons for Fee Increases

The increase in fee rates is due to rising costs associated with waste collection and processing, including inflation and rising energy and fuel prices.

Changes in Bio-Waste Collection

Starting January 2025, the frequency of bio-waste collection will increase. In November, collection will occur twice a month. For non-residential properties, the minimum collection frequencies have been reduced.

New PSZOK Working Hours

The operating hours of the PSZOK have changed. Waste can be dropped off from Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
