Local Table Tennis Tournament - Champions in Osiek

On February 8, 2025, the fourth edition of the Local Table Tennis Tournament for the Cup of the Mayor of the Gmina Osiek took place, under the patronage of the Brodnicki Starost. This event has become a tradition in the sports calendar of the Brodnica district.

The tournament was held in the sports hall at the Primary School in Osiek and attracted 21 participants, including local government officials, councilors, and civil servants. The Brodnica district was represented by Karolina Gulczyńska, who secured third place in the women's competition.

The event was officially opened by the mayor of the gmina, Paweł Chudy, and Mariusz Wojdyło, a member of the Brodnica District Board. Participants competed in three categories: open men, men over 60, and women, playing in a best-of-three sets format, with each set going to 11 points.

The podium winners and point-scoring places received prizes and trophies. The Brodnicki Starost's trophies for the best players of the tournament went to Zbigniew Cichewicz and Jan Sulecki. Participants were honored with commemorative medals.

The tournament was organized by the Gmina Osiek, with support from the Brodnica District and the Culture and Sports Center in Osiek. Local businesses, such as Agrolok, Wiexpol, and Multikram, also sponsored the event. Organizers extend special thanks to the ladies from the Agricultural Circle in Kretki Małe for preparing sweet treats for the participants.
