Summary of the "Sober Morning" Campaign

On March 3 and 5, 2025, officers from the Traffic Department of the Brodnica police unit conducted intensified actions under the slogan "Sober Morning". The aim of this campaign was to eliminate intoxicated drivers from the roads.

Course of Actions

The checks took place in the morning hours, and officers inspected a total of 1748 drivers. Unfortunately, the results were concerning.

Results of the Checks

Among those checked, two individuals were found to be under the influence of alcohol, which constitutes an offense. The most alarming case was that of a 36-year-old resident of Jabłonowo Pomorskie, who had just under one promile of alcohol in his system. Police officers confiscated his driving license, and he could face up to 3 years in prison along with a driving ban.

Road Safety

Police emphasize that regular conduct of such checks is crucial for improving road safety. Even a small amount of alcohol can negatively affect reaction time and situational assessment by drivers.
