Exhibition 'Earth Taken' and the 10th Anniversary of the 'Cultura' Association

The Mayor of Brodnica, Jarosław Radacz, the Director of the Museum in Brodnica, Bartosz Markuszewski, and the President of the Exploration and Historical Association of the Michałowo Region 'Cultura', Łukasz Wysocki, invite you to the opening of the exceptional exhibition 'Earth Taken', combined with the 10th anniversary celebration of the Association's activities. The event will take place on March 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM at the Brama Gallery in Brodnica.

The word 'treasure' evokes emotions and conjures images of ancient mysteries. For archaeologists and history enthusiasts, treasures are artifacts that have been hidden in the ground for thousands of years, waiting to be discovered. Members of the 'Cultura' Association, along with the archaeologist from the Museum in Brodnica, Filip Marciniak, have encountered remarkable finds that will be displayed at the exhibition—including a precious gold aureus, one of the most valuable exhibits.

10 Years of 'Cultura' Association

Founded a decade ago, the 'Cultura' Association brings together history enthusiasts, collectors, detectorists, and historical reenactors working to protect the cultural heritage of the region. For years, its members have collaborated with the Museum in Brodnica, supporting archaeological research and organizing cultural events.

The 'Earth Taken' exhibition summarizes their activities—both individual discoveries and the collective achievements of the Association. It is a journey through the region's history, presented through unique finds that tell their own remarkable stories.
