Choose Stairs for Health

Climbing stairs is a simple yet effective method for improving physical fitness and health. This is what the recently launched social campaign "Your Movement for Health" encourages. Its goal is to motivate Poles to use stairs instead of elevators on a daily basis.

The organizers emphasize that each year the campaign will promote one healthy habit – this year it is about stairs.

“In our social campaigns, we will motivate ourselves, Poles, to adopt one health-beneficial habit each year. One year—one habit, solidly and thoroughly, so it really takes root. We will not teach anything new but rather unlearn what we have gotten used to in a way that is not beneficial for us. In the first year, we focused on using stairs instead of elevators and utilizing stairs for various physical activities and training,” said Marta Pawłowska, chairperson of the Partnership for the Prevention and Treatment of Obesity.

A group of well-known personalities joined the campaign to encourage Poles to be active. Among the ambassadors are sports journalist Michał Pol, satirist and journalist Szymon Majewski, doctor Michał Domaszewski, psychologist Agnieszka Węgiel, and one of the most famous gamers in the world – Kinga Kujawska.

The "Your Movement for Health" campaign is an important step towards promoting healthy habits in society. Organizers, partners (including the Association of Polish Counties), and ambassadors emphasize that every step counts, and climbing stairs can become a natural part of everyday life. Will Poles take on the challenge? The first reactions show that “stairs are cool” and can become a new symbol of a healthy lifestyle!
