Różyczkowanie as Cultural Heritage - Consultations

At the School Complex in Jabłonowo Pomorskie, open public consultations were held to discuss actions aimed at adding the school custom of różyczkowanie to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The meeting took place on March 12 and had a ceremonial character, connected with the inauguration of the Year of Princess Anna Wazówna.

The ceremony began with a performance by the School Vocal Ensemble. The hosts, Kacper Betlejewski and Oliwia Kordella, welcomed invited guests, including Arkadiusz Orłowski, the deputy starost of Brodnica, Dorota Bibik, the head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Brodnica District Office, and Marzanna Fettke, the mayor of the Town and Municipality of Jabłonowo Pomorskie.

The director of the School Complex, Barbara Bober, emphasized the importance of the różyczkowanie tradition, which symbolizes the transition of younger students to their older peers. During the meeting, the Year of Princess Anna Wazówna was also inaugurated, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the death of this outstanding figure connected with the Brodnica region.

Participants had the opportunity to watch a film titled "Anna Wazówna - an extraordinary princess," which highlighted Anna Wazówna's history as a patron of culture and science. The meeting concluded with a presentation of the school's educational offer for the 2025/2026 academic year and an invitation to participate in events dedicated to the figure of Anna Wazówna.
