Students of CKZiU Caring for Bees

It is unnecessary to convince aware minds that it is essential to protect beneficial pollinating insects. A well-known quote by Albert Einstein states that when bees disappear, humanity will have only four years left. Therefore, protecting pollinators is of colossal importance as civilization develops.

The students of the Vocational and Continuous Education Center in Brodnica know this well - they are the executors of a project aimed at protecting significant insects. Last year, they worked for many months on their ambitious practical task "Brodnica Beehouses - an oasis for urban pollinators." Now they have initiated the second edition of the social project, continuing the success of last year's initiative.

As part of this endeavor, the youth engages in activities for the local community, while simultaneously developing their professional and social competencies. This year's project events take place at the Vocational and Continuous Education Center in Brodnica, which has been supporting students in implementing various educational and social initiatives for years.

This year's project edition includes a series of initiatives aimed at expanding knowledge about pollinators. Students at their school have announced two exceptional competitions. The first, titled "With a Brush and Camera Among Pollinators" - is an invitation for young artists to prepare a work of art or photography showcasing the life of pollinators. The second competition, under the slogan "Pollinator M2 - we build shelters," is a great opportunity for DIY enthusiasts to create their own houses for pollinators in the school's technical workshops.

The projects implemented at CKZiU exemplify the youth's engagement in social life and their pursuit of continuous development and acquiring new skills. We encourage all residents to follow the students' activities and support them in implementing the next stages of the project.
