Record Number of Easter Palms to be Judged

Once a year before Easter, Bobrowo becomes the center of tradition and culture in the Brodnica county. It is here that the most important Easter palm competitions for the local community take place. This year, a record number of entries has been submitted for the competitions.

The organizers of the XXIV Community and XXIII County Easter Palm Competition are: Local Action Group "Pojezierze Brodnickie", the Bobrowo Commune, and the Brodnica County. The event is invited by the Brodnica Starost and the Mayor of the Bobrowo Commune on Friday, April 11 at 11:00 am at the Village Community Center in Małki. There, the entries submitted for the competitions will be presented for the judges' evaluation.

According to Dorota Sikorska, the cultural coordinator in the Bobrowo Commune, 57 entries have been received this year. This is the highest number in the history of the competitions. 36 palms were submitted by the KGW, villages, and other organizations. The remaining 21 are works submitted by primary and secondary schools. The most beautiful Easter palms, selected in the community and county competitions, will be awarded. All interested are invited to the community center in Małki.
