Summary of 'Safe Cyclist' Actions

Publication date: 28.03.2025

Police officers from the Road Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Brodnica participated in provincial actions called 'Safe Cyclist'. The officers revealed 64 offenses committed by cyclists.

Yesterday (27.03.25), traffic police took part in the provincial actions 'Safe Cyclist'. The aim of the actions was to increase the safety of cycling enthusiasts.

During the all-day event, officers uncovered 64 offenses committed by cyclists. The most common offense was riding on the sidewalk, which occurred 52 times, as well as using a mobile phone while riding.

From this place, we appeal to cycling enthusiasts to adhere to traffic regulations. Breaking the law can have not only financial consequences but also health risks, as most cyclists do not pay particular attention when crossing the road, often passing through pedestrian crossings, or unexpectedly veering from the bike path onto the road, which may lead to collisions with vehicles.
