2025 - The Year of Anna Vasa

In 2025, we will celebrate the 400th anniversary of the death of Anna Vasa, a Swedish princess and starost of Brodnica. On this occasion, the city of Brodnica has prepared a rich program of events aimed at bringing her figure and heritage closer. We cordially invite all residents and tourists to take part in the celebrations!

Planned Events:

• April 27, 2025: Escapade "Get to know your region with a guide", Guided walk "Walk with Princess Anna" and herbal workshops in the open air "Herbal heritage of Anna Vasa".
• May 2025: Art competition for primary school children "Anna Vasa's Painted Herbarium".
• May 11, 2025: Trip and herbal workshops "Visiting Anna Vasa at the castle in Golub-Dobrzyń".
• May 13, 2025, 5:30 PM, Anna Vasa Palace: Author's meeting with Iwona Kienzler, author of books about Anna Vasa.
• May 14, 2025, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Anna Vasa Palace: Caricature workshops "Princess Anna Vasa in a distorting mirror".
• May 17, 2025, Night of Museums: City game "Brodnica traces of Princess Anna" and concert "By candlelight in a royal tone" in the castle cellars.
• June 28, 2025: XII Anna Vasa's Ten - street run.
• July 20, 2025, Outer bailey: XVII Ecological Fair with Princess Anna.
• September 28, 2025: Guided walk - "In the footsteps of Anna Vasa".
• September 2025, Anna Vasa Palace: Triptych about Anna Vasa: I. Anna Vasa's birthday in Uppsala, II. Anna Vasa's Faith, III. Anna Vasa - precursor of Polish herbal medicine.
