XXII Easter Palm Review of Brodnica Municipality is Behind Us!

On April 9th, the XXII Easter Palm Review of Brodnica Municipality took place in the community center in Szczuka. This unique event has been connecting generations for years, integrating the local community, and reminding us of the values ​​of Polish folk tradition.

This year's Review included a record number of 20 Easter palms! The palms were prepared by Rural Housewives' Associations from Karbowo, Karbowo "Jarzębinki", Szabda, Szabda "Future and Tradition", Szczuka, Cielęta, Gortatowo, Dzierżno, Podgórze "Podgórzacy", Mszan, Bartnik, Nowy Dwór, Niewierz, Gorczenica, Senior Clubs from Karbowo, Szabda and Karbowianie, and Primary Schools from Gortatowo based in Szczuka, Branch School in Cielęta and schools in Szabda.

The ceremony was attended by invited guests, including secretary Justyna Klimowska, deputy head of the Administrative and Social Department Jolanta Tomella, director of CUS Izabella Lewandowska, director of SP in Gortatowo z/s in Szczuka Zenon Matuszewski, director of SP in Szabda Arkadiusz Chojnowski, councilors of Brodnica Municipality - Justyna Zielińska, Kamila Maciejewska, Rafał Roman, president of the Fire Brigade in Szczuka Eugeniusz Jakubowski and Fr. Marcin Kaczyński.

Each palm was unique, intricately made, colorful and joyful. All participants of the review were rewarded. The organizers would like to thank the Rural Housewives' Association in Szczuka for preparing the refreshments, the CUS of Brodnica Municipality and all participants of the review.
