Art Competition: "Anna Vasa's Painted Herbarium"

In connection with the announcement of 2025 as the Year of Anna Vasa and the 400th anniversary of her death, the Brodnica Cultural Center invites you to participate in an art competition bringing closer the figure of Anna Vasa, known for her love of herbalism.

Invitation for students

We cordially invite primary school students from the Brodnica district to participate in the "Anna Vasa's Painted Herbarium" competition.

Competition rules

The task of the participants is to create a herbarium with hand-painted, drawn and described plants. The form of the herbarium is optional, and the artistic techniques are: watercolor, acrylic, gouache, pastel, crayon, pencil.

Age categories

• Grades 1-3 (any technique)
• Grades 4-6 (any technique)
• Grades 7-8 (any technique)

Important dates

• Works must be submitted to BDK by May 30, 2025.
• The list of winners will be published on May 6, 2025 at www.bdk.brodnica.net and BDK's Facebook.
• The award ceremony will take place on June 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Brodnica Cultural Center.

The competition is co-financed from the budget of the Brodnica City Municipality.
