Educational Conference in Brodnica – Digitalization of Education

On April 23, 2025, Brodnica hosted the Educational Conference, the main theme of which was the digitalization of education. The event brought together a large group of representatives of local authorities, school principals, teachers, and experts from all over Poland, who jointly discussed the opportunities and challenges related to digital transformation in education.

Organizers and Patronage

The conference was organized by the Brodnica City Hall in cooperation with the principals of city schools and the project team "Digital Development of Education in Local Government Units - Training and Consulting for Local Government Staff". The event was patronized by the Director of the Educational Development Center in Warsaw and the Kuyavian-Pomeranian School Superintendent in Bydgoszcz. The co-organizers were the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Education Center in Toruń and the IMPULS Teacher Training Institutions in Olsztyn.

Sessions and Discussions

The lecture part was opened by the Mayor of Brodnica, Jarosław Radacz. During the panel discussions, important topics were discussed, such as:

• Digital challenges in education
• Digital tools and AI and the effectiveness of educational processes
• Empathy, a sense of meaning and valuable relationships, or what robots can only dream of?
• Psychosocial conditions and consequences of cyber disorders
• Challenges for prevention

Practical Workshops

In the workshop part, participants had the opportunity to participate in practical classes on, among others:

• AI as a teacher's right hand in preparing teaching materials
• Digital tools in a teacher's daily work, using ZPE
• STEAM in education - 3D design as didactic support
• Practical use of the LMS platform during educational and therapeutic activities
• STEAM lessons, i.e. how to combine science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics
• Digital hygiene and the mental condition of children and adolescents
• Diagnosing cyber disorders in children and adolescents
• Telephones in school as a pedagogical challenge
• AI-powered grading

Digitalization of Education in Brodnica

The theme of the conference reflects the current needs of local educational institutions. Brodnica has been participating in the ORE pilot program "DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS" since May 2024. The activities undertaken by the Brodnica local government are in line with the "Digital Transformation of Education Policy".
