Starosta extends wishes to nurses and midwives

A ceremonial gala took place in Brodnica on the occasion of International Nurse and Midwife Day. The event took place on May 8, 2025.

The Starosta of Brodnica, Paweł Szramka, participated in the gala organized by the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives in Toruń. Representatives of local governments from the towns and communes of the Brodnica district were also present at the ceremony.

During the gala, the "For Merit in the Profession" awards were presented to nurses and midwives who, through their many years of work and professionalism, deserved special recognition. Starosta Paweł Szramka and local government officials expressed their gratitude to the representatives of these professions for their efforts.

The gala was also an opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by medical personnel. One of the problems is the aging nursing staff in the Brodnica district. The average age of nurses and midwives is 56 years. Starosta Paweł Szramka supports initiatives aimed at changing this situation.
