The "Na Wiejskiej" Association cordially invites you to a unique event - the Brodnica Democracy Crucible, which will take place on June 6, 2025. The aim of this meeting is to honor those who fought for our democracy and to bring young people closer to the atmosphere of the elections from June 4 years ago. We also want to jointly look for answers to the question: What did those elections give us?

Event Details

Meeting of participants: June 6, 2025, at 4:45 PM, Podzamcze

Inauguration and joint singing: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. We invite all residents of Brodnica to sing engaged songs together!

Departure of groups to tasks: 6:00 PM. Participants will go to designated places where tasks, meetings with guests, and discussions await them.

Participation in tasks: 6:00 PM - 00:30 AM

End: June 7, 2025, at 00:30 AM - 1:00 AM

Information for Participants

We invite groups of young people (also informal) aged 12 and over with an adult guardian, numbering 15-20 people.

The participation fee is PLN 10.00 and should be paid to the account: BS in Brodnica 34 9484 1150 2221 0025 1662 0001. Guardians are exempt from fees.

Cooperation and Funding

The project is co-financed by the Municipality of Brodnica, the Brodnica County, and the Brodnica Commune. Co-organizers are: CKZiU, WTZ, BDK, MP Z. Sosnowski, the Brodnica County Office, the Brama Epok Foundation, the Municipal and County Public Library, the City of Brodnica.

Thematic Areas

The Crucible will take place in three thematic areas:

  • The road to free elections; the legacy of Solidarity
  • The essence of democracy and the rule of law
  • The role and activities of non-governmental organizations

Special Guests

The invitation was accepted by: Janina Ochojska (Polish Humanitarian Action), Paweł Juszczyszyn (Free Courts), Anna Frydrych – Depka (PKW Expert), representatives of the Education for Democracy Foundation and the Year of Freedom Initiative. The association cooperates with the Batory Foundation and the Ludwika and Henryk Wujców Foundation.

Event Goal

The organizers want young people to:

  • Know the elements of the history of Poland in the 1980s,
  • Understand the importance of the first free elections for the life of each of us,
  • Learn the principles of organizing elections,
  • Participate in social life,
  • Know how to set up their own organization.
