Brodnicki Crucible of Democracy: Celebrate Freedom!

Let's celebrate June 4, 1989, the day of the first, partially free elections in post-war Poland. The "Na Wiejskiej" Association in Brodnica invites you to the Brodnicki Crucible of Democracy, an event that aims to bring young people closer to the atmosphere of those days and the figures of Solidarity heroes.

When and Where?

June 6, 2025 in Brodnica will host a unique meeting that will focus on three key areas:

• The road to free elections and the legacy of Solidarity
• The essence of democracy and the rule of law
• The role and activities of non-governmental organizations

What's on the Program?

The Brodnicki Crucible of Democracy will begin on June 6 at 4:45 PM with a gathering at Podzamcze. The official inauguration and joint singing will take place at 5:00 PM. Then the groups will set off to various points in the city, where they will perform tasks and meet guests. The end is scheduled for June 7 at 0:30 AM.

Special Guests

The event will be attended by excellent guests, including: Janina Ochojska (Polish Humanitarian Action), Paweł Juszczyszyn (Free Courts), Anna Frydrych – Depka (PKW Expert), representatives of the Education for Democracy Foundation and the Year of Freedom Initiative.

For Whom?

We invite youth groups (15-20 people) over 12 years of age with an adult guardian. The participation fee is PLN 10 per person. Applications are accepted until May 25, 2025 at: [email protected].
