Solemn Celebration of Regiment Day and 30th Anniversary of the Banner Award in Brodnica

On May 20, 2025, Brodnica became the arena for unique celebrations related to the Day of the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment named after Ignacy Mościcki and the 30th anniversary of awarding the unit's banner. The Municipal Stadium gathered numerous guests, including the Brodnica Starosta Paweł Szramka, former commanders, veterans, parliamentarians, local government officials, representatives of the voivode, clergy, uniformed services, residents of the district, and families of soldiers.

The celebrations had a special character, emphasized by both the anniversary of the banner award and the strong roots of the garrison holiday tradition in the local community. This tradition, dating back to pre-war times and the 67th Infantry Regiment, is proudly continued by the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment.

The ceremony was also an opportunity to honor outstanding soldiers by the regiment commander, Col. Jarosław Żochowski. MP Zbigniew Sosnowski read out an occasional letter from the Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Speeches expressed gratitude and appreciation for the soldiers, emphasizing their role in the social life of Brodnica and the district.
