Conservation Works Completed in St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church in Mszana

We are pleased to announce the completion of the second stage of conservation and restoration of the historic polychrome in St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church in Mszana. The works were officially completed on May 21, 2025, at 2:20 PM.

The works began in mid-February 2025, and thanks to the dedication of a four-person team of specialists from the TORRES Jadwiga Łukaszewicz Toruń Workshop for Research and Conservation of Monuments, they were completed in less than three months.

Scope of Work

• Conservation and restoration of the intrados of the chancel arch
• Walls of the presbytery with window recesses
• Church vault

Financing

The total cost of the investment was PLN 150,010.90, of which PLN 147,000.00 was a grant from the Brodnica Municipality, obtained from the Government Program for the Reconstruction of Monuments. The remaining amount came from the Parish's own funds.
