Great success for high school students from Brodnica!

We are pleased to announce the success of students from I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Filomatów Ziemi Michałowskiej in Brodnica, who won the title of vice-champions of this year's Regional Debate League!

The final, full of emotions and intellectual rivalry, took place on May 20, 2025, at the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship Office in Bydgoszcz.

The school was represented by Dawid Bąkowski, Martyna Płocharska, Agata Pniewska and Agata Prusak. The team impressed the jury and the audience with their knowledge, preparation, and culture of discussion.

During the final stage, the students debated a thesis concerning events such as the Met Gala in the context of global socio-economic problems, and in the grand final, they tackled the topic of Bolesław Chrobry as a modern leader of Poland (assuming he had modern knowledge).

"We are proud of the success of our students," emphasizes the director of ILO, Marzena Łupińska, the team's substantive supervisor.

The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivode.
