Brodnica's Local Government Representatives Celebrate 35 Years of Local Government!

Chairman of the County Council, Marek Hildebrandt, and Deputy Starost of Brodnica, Arkadiusz Orłowski, together with the banner party of Brodnica County, participated in the XVII Kuyavian-Pomeranian Local Government Forum, which took place on Friday, May 23, 2025 in Kowal (Włocławek County). This event was combined with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the creation of local government in Poland.

Honoring the Deserving

During the forum, over 80 deserving local government representatives from the region were honored. Among those distinguished was Marek Hildebrandt, a long-time local government representative at the voivodeship, county, and commune level, currently the Chairman of the County Council in Brodnica.

Local Government Declaration

Participants listened to a speech by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and signed the Local Government Declaration on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Restoration of Local Government in the Republic of Poland, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and partnership in building Poland since 1990.

Oak of Local Government

During the jubilee, the Oak of Local Government for the Future of Communities was planted, in which Deputy Starost Arkadiusz Orłowski participated. Next to the tree, a tube with the Local Government Declaration signed by Piotr Całbecki, Elżbieta Piniewska, and Prof. Jerzy Stępień was placed.

35 years of local government is a history of development, responsibility, and care for the common good. Thanks were given to all who create this history every day.
