The Self-Government Oak Takes Root in Brodnica

To mark the Local Government Day, celebrated on May 27, 2025, a Self-Government Oak was planted at the Brodnica County Starosty (County Office). This symbolic event commemorates the 35th anniversary of the rebirth of local government in Poland.

Regional Celebrations in Kowal

Regional celebrations related to the 35th anniversary of self-government took place in Kowal, in the Włocławek County, at the end of last week. During the jubilee, local government officials received oak seedlings with a dedication from Marshal Piotr Całbecki, which emphasized the strength and durability of the self-government community.

Symbolic Planting in Brodnica

In Brodnica, on the day of the local government holiday, the oak was planted by the chairman of the Brodnica County Council, Marek Hildebrandt. The ceremony was also attended by starost Paweł Szramka and deputy starost Arkadiusz Orłowski. The oak is meant to symbolize self-government values and their development in the Brodnica County.
