Unforgettable Trip of Seniors from Szabda and Karbowo to Hel

On June 3, 2025, seniors from the "Senior +" Club Szabda and the "Senior+" Club Karbowo embarked on a fascinating trip to the Hel Peninsula. This eventful journey provided them with many unforgettable moments.

Seal Sanctuary – Encounter with Baltic Seals

The first point of the program was the Seal Sanctuary of the Marine Station of the Institute of Oceanography of the University of Gdańsk. Seniors enthusiastically watched the seals, while learning the secrets of their lives and the importance of protecting these wonderful animals.

Fisheries Museum – History and Tradition at Your Fingertips

Then, the group went to the Fisheries Museum, which is located in a historic church. There, the trip participants had the opportunity to explore the history and fishing traditions of the region.

Museum of Coastal Defense – A Lesson in History and Strategy

The next stage was a visit to the Museum of Coastal Defense, which brought seniors closer to the strategic role of Hel in Polish history. They were also greatly impressed by the place called "Cypel", considered the symbolic beginning of Poland, indicating its northern ends.

Relaxation on the Beach – Rest with a View

There was also time for relaxation! Seniors could stroll along the Hel beach, admiring the picturesque seaside landscape and enjoying a moment of respite.
