Convention of Districts of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Górzno

On June 6, 2025, the Convention of Districts of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship took place in the picturesque Górzno, at the Dworek Wapionka Hotel. Representatives of districts and cities with district rights from our region met to discuss key issues concerning road investments, civil protection, communication, forest management, and cooperation with the government administration.

Participants and Topics

The meeting was attended by, among others, the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivode Michał Sztybel, the chairman of the convention Zbigniew Jaszczuk, the Starost of Żnin, and the Starost of Brodnica, Paweł Szramka, who served as the host. Also present were a representative of the Management Board of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Toruń, Marek Wojtkowski, and representatives of the Marshal's Office, including Andrzej Potoczek. The Mayor of Górzno, Jacek Ruciński, welcomed all the guests.

Representation of Brodnica District

Brodnica District was strongly represented by Starost Paweł Szramka, Chairman of the District Council Marek Hildebrandt, Deputy Starost Arkadiusz Orłowski, District Secretary Marcin Pawlak, and employees of the Brodnica District Starosty.

Discussed Issues

During the convention, Voivode Michał Sztybel presented the criteria for selecting applications for funding from the Government Road Development Fund and discussed training in civil protection. Katarzyna Szpakowska from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Office discussed details regarding applications for road funding. Anna Stępień from the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Toruń spoke about the region's forest resources. The Head of the Communication and Transport Department of the Brodnica District Starosty, Jacek Szamot, presented solutions implemented in the Brodnica Starosty, including the Paczkomat Urząd 24 and extended department hours.

Position on Stamp Duty

The convention adopted a position on stamp duty, emphasizing the need to adapt the system of revenue distribution to the tasks carried out by local government units.

The date of the next Convention of Districts of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship is scheduled for mid-September.
