Police educate preschoolers in Brodnica about road safety

Last week, police officers from the Traffic Department and a social prevention specialist visited the Maria Konopnicka kindergarten in Brodnica. The purpose of the visit was to remind the youngest children about road safety rules.

During the meeting, officers presented to the children what the police do and showed the equipment used in daily service. Special attention was paid to the rules of safe crossing the road and reminded emergency numbers. Police also emphasized the importance of general safety in everyday life.

Preschoolers had the opportunity, under the watchful eye of police officers, to practice safe crossing at a pedestrian crossing. Officers also reminded about the necessity of wearing reflective elements, especially after dark, to increase visibility and safety on the road.

The meeting aimed to prepare children for safe holidays and increase their awareness as road users.
