Inauguration of the "Safety in Summer" Campaign

On June 13, 2025, the nationwide educational and informational campaign "Safety in Summer" was inaugurated at City Beach on Lake Żnińskie Małe.

The event, organized by police officers under the patronage of the Mayor of Żnin, in cooperation with the Prevention Bureau of the Police Headquarters and invited services and institutions, aimed to educate about safe behavior during the holidays.

Campaign Goal

The "Safety in Summer" campaign, supported by PZU S.A., focuses on improving the safety of vacationers through information and education activities targeted at children, youth and adults. Addressees also include managers of water areas and entities related to recreation.

Preventive Picnic

During the preventive picnic, which was the opening ceremony of the campaign, were present, among others, Chief Inspector Roman Kuster (First Deputy Chief of Police), Inspector Jakub Gorczyński (Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz) and Inspector Robert Kumor (Director of the Prevention Bureau of the KGP). Services and institutions presented their stands offering quizzes, art competitions, prevention games and first aid training. Emergency numbers 112 and 601 100 100 and the "Summer Guide" art and film competition were also promoted.

Attractions

The youngest enthusiastically visited the Wawel Truck, where they learned about the chocolate production process through dexterity games. The culmination was a demonstration of rescue operations on the water.

The co-organizers of the attractions were, among others, the City Hall in Żnin, PZU S.A., WSSE in Bydgoszcz, KW PSP in Toruń, KP PSP in Żnin, 8 K-PBOT, Penitentiary in Potulice, Nadleśnictwo Gołąbki, the Department of Security and Crisis Management of the K-PUW in Bydgoszcz, WOPR, Hunting Guard, PIP, Wody Polskie, PCK and Wawel Truck.
