Staffing Crisis in Brodnica Healthcare? There is Hope!

In the face of the growing problem of medical personnel shortage, the Brodnica County is taking action. On June 9th, in Brodnica, a key agreement was signed between the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz, the Brodnica County Hospital, and the Brodnica County.

Cooperation for the future

The signatories committed to joint actions aimed at educating and developing young medical staff. The document was signed by doc. Filip Sikora, Kamil Szulc, Paweł Szramka and Arkadiusz Orłowski. The event was also attended by dr inż. Dariusz Buchaniec, Mirosława Karpowicz, Mariusz Wojdyło, Halina Obijalska, Jadwiga Zakrzewska and Marzena Łupińska.

Alarming statistics and a call for change

The average age of nurses and midwives in Poland is around 55 years. Jadwiga Zakrzewska has been warning for years about the lack of young specialists. The signed agreement is intended to be a response to these challenges, giving hope for reversing unfavorable trends in the Brodnica County.
