Solemn Celebration of Police Day in Brodnica

On July 7, 2025, the solemn celebrations of Police Day took place in Anna Wazówna's Palace in Brodnica, uniquely combined with the centenary of women's presence in the service. The celebrations began with the laying of flowers at the monument commemorating fallen police officers. Flowers were laid by, among others, the Deputy Provincial Commander in Bydgoszcz, Insp. Jacek Witas, and the District Police Commander in Brodnica, Insp. Tomasz Skoneczka.

Official Part

After the laying of flowers, in Anna Wazówna's Palace, a report was submitted to Insp. Jacek Witas and the national anthem was sung. During the ceremony, promotions and decorations were presented.

Speeches and Thanks

During the ceremony, Insp. Tomasz Skoneczka, Insp. Jacek Witas, Jr. Insp. Piotr Kujawa, and Jr. Asp. Krzysztof Sadowski spoke, thanking the police officers and employees for their service. The role of women in the police was emphasized. Wishes and thanks were also offered by the Mayor of Brodnica, Jarosław Radacz, and Mariusz Wojdyło, representing the Starost of Brodnica.

Police Festival

Simultaneously, a police festival was held in the square in front of the Palace, featuring equipment presentations, a traffic town, a course with alcohol/narcotics goggles, animations, contests, and a dog training demonstration. Participants could taste traditional pea soup.
