The "Good Start" Program has started! Get 300 PLN for school needs

Parents and guardians are actively submitting applications for the "Good Start" benefit, which is 300 PLN for school supplies. According to ZUS, approximately 33% of eligible recipients who received support last year are reapplying for funds.

Quick start of the program

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has been accepting applications for funding under the "Good Start" program since July 1st. The program is very popular. The press spokeswoman for ZUS in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Krystyna Michałek, informs that in less than 10 days, 1.077 million applications have already been submitted, covering over 1.5 million children.

Where to submit applications?

The most popular way to submit applications is through electronic banking (over 715,000), followed by the ZUS Electronic Services Platform (PUE/eZUS) - 274,400, the mZUS application - 77,200, and the Emp@tia portal - 10,400.

Who can receive support?

The benefit of 300 PLN is granted once a year for each child attending school up to the age of 20, and in the case of children with disabilities - up to the age of 24. The support does not include children in kindergartens or students. The funds can be used to purchase textbooks, notebooks, school supplies and other necessary articles.

Important dates

• Applications can be submitted until November 30th, exclusively electronically (mZUS, PUE/eZUS, Emp@tia, electronic banking).
• Submitting the application in July or August guarantees payment by September 30th.
• Applications submitted in September, October or November will be processed within two months of submission.

How to check the application status?

Parents and guardians can track the status of the application on the PUE/eZUS portal, regardless of the channel through which it was submitted.

Summary

The "Good Start" program is real help for families, making it easier to prepare children for school and reducing the burden on the household budget. Last year, almost 4.7 million children in Poland received support, including approximately 247,900 in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
