Brodnica: Flood Preparedness Assessed Positively

Following heavy rainfall, the Municipal Crisis Management Center in Brodnica positively assessed the city's preparedness for potential flooding, as reported by the Government Security Center.

Preventive Measures and Support

An inspection of water level regulating devices was carried out, and Lake Niskie Brodno and other watercourses were prepared to receive excess water flowing into the Drwęca River. Residents from flood-prone areas could receive flood bags. The Municipal Water and Sewerage Company checked the patency of the stormwater drainage system.

Situation After Rainfall

The overall assessment indicates good preparation of Brodnica. After two days of rainfall, the water level in the Drwęca River rose by 30 cm.

Solidarity with Neighboring Communes

The Mayor of Brodnica showed solidarity with other towns in the Brodnica County, in particular by supporting the Bartniczka commune, which is struggling with high water levels in the Brynica River.
