Polish Army Day Celebrated in Brodnica

On August 14th, a ceremonial roll call took place at the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment named after Ignacy Mościcki, celebrating Polish Army Day. The event was attended by soldiers, invited guests, representatives of the Brodnica County authorities, including Deputy Starost Arkadiusz Orłowski, Member of Parliament Zbigniew Sosnowski, godmother of the regimental banner Urszula Derlicka, former commander of the Brodnica formation Col. Bogdan Kula, representatives of the Brodnica and Rypin local governments, uniformed services, clergy, as well as residents and soldiers' families.

During the roll call, a letter was read from the Head of the Ministry of National Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, expressing appreciation for the service of soldiers. Deserving soldiers were honored with promotions and awards, which were presented by the commander of the 4th Brodnica Chemical Regiment, Col. Jarosław Żochowski, and invited guests, including Deputy Starost Arkadiusz Orłowski.

The ceremony was enhanced by the singing of the Representative Song of the Polish Army, and concluded with a parade in front of the honorary tribune. August 15th is a symbol of the glory of Polish arms, courage and dedication of soldiers.
