Gang of Burglars in the Hands of Brodnica Police

Criminal investigators in Brodnica have apprehended an 18-year-old man and identified three minors who have been charged with breaking into self-service vacuum cleaners and theft with burglary of a toy vending machine. The case will now go to the family court.

Reports of Burglaries

On Monday, August 18, 2025, a victim appeared at the District Police Headquarters in Brodnica, reporting a break-in into a self-service vacuum cleaner and the theft of money from the cash box. Two days later, on August 20, the Brodnica police received another report of a break-in into a vacuum cleaner. A few hours later, the theft of a toy vending machine was reported.

Police Actions

After receiving the reports, the police secured recordings from the car wash surveillance, where the stolen vacuum cleaners were located, as well as from the store and the city area where the vending machine was stolen. The analysis of the recordings allowed for the identification of the perpetrators. On Thursday, August 21, an 18-year-old resident of Brodnica was arrested, and three minors aged 11-16 were summoned for questioning.

Legal Consequences

The 18-year-old has been charged with 3 counts of burglary, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years of imprisonment. The fate of the minors will be decided by the family court.
