Drunk 66-year-old caught driving - faces imprisonment!

A resident of the Brodnica district was caught by the police for driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place in Osiek, where the man arrived at a store staggering.

Details of the event:

On Saturday afternoon (August 23rd), Brodnica police intervened in Osiek in connection with a report of a drunk driver. At the scene, they found a 66-year-old man who had a strong smell of alcohol. A breathalyzer test showed over 2.5 per mille in exhaled air. Witnesses confirmed that the man arrived at the scene in an Opel passenger car.

Consequences:

The man was arrested and taken to a police detention center. After sobering up, he was charged with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He faces a penalty of up to 3 years of imprisonment. Police secured the vehicle for a future penalty and suspended his driver's license. The case will be heard in court.
