Spinning Competition for the Mayor of Brodnica's Cup - Report

On Sunday, August 24, 2025, the picturesque Szczuka Lake hosted an exciting spinning competition for the Mayor of Brodnica's Cup. The event was organized by the PZW Polmo Brodnica Circle and the Grążawy Circle.

32 enthusiastic anglers from the Brodnica area competed. The competition took place in a 5-hour round, according to the "catch - measure - release" rule. The judging panel, chaired by Stefan Janiszewski, oversaw the proper course of the competition.

After a fierce battle and careful calculation of the results, the winners were selected. The top five were as follows:

• Paweł Chabowski – 1000 points (largest pike 54.2 cm)
• Sławomir Tylicki – 800 points
• Andrzej Bajduszewski – 340 points (largest perch 31.3 cm)
• Piotr Sokołowski – 160 points
• Sławomir Kemski – 100 points

The Mayor of Brodnica, Adam Zalewski, together with the organizers, ceremoniously presented the winners with a cup, diplomas and attractive prizes. The competition was sponsored by the Brodnica Commune and the PZW Polmo Circle.
