Archival Lessons Accompanying the Exhibition on the Polish Sokol Movement in America

The IPN Archive cordially invites teachers and students of grades 7-8 of primary schools and secondary schools to unique archival lessons. These lessons accompany the exhibition entitled "Shoulder Strong - Serving the Homeland. The History of the Polish Sokol Movement in America," which is presented at the Chełmno Gate, a branch of the Museum in Brodnica.

What awaits the participants?

The classes combine a tour of the aforementioned exhibition with a curatorial discussion, allowing for an even deeper understanding of the topic. The workshops are conducted according to two interesting scenarios, one of which can be chosen:

1. "Hail to the Homeland - Claw to the Enemy!" - focusing on the contribution of the Polish Sokol Movement in America to the process of Poland regaining independence.
2. "In the name of the future, straighten the bones!" - telling about the Sokol sports masters.

Practical information

The classes are completely free and will take place from September 15 to 19, 2025 at the Chełmno Gate - Branch of the Museum in Brodnica (ul. Mały Rynek 4, Brodnica). Available dates for classes are: September 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2025, with the possibility of choosing the hour 8:45 or 11:00 each day.
