Solemn National Reading in Szabda

On September 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM, a special event took place at the Village Community Center in Szabda: the National Reading, organized by the Social Services Center of the Brodnica Municipality.

The Poetry of Jan Kochanowski in the Spotlight

This year, participants focused on the works of Jan Kochanowski, an outstanding Renaissance poet. Selected excerpts from his works were read together, highlighting their lasting significance for Polish culture.

Guests and Participants

Among the guests present were: the Mayor of the Brodnica Municipality - Adam Zalewski, the Director of the SSC - Izabella Lewandowska, the Director of the Municipal Public Library in Szczuka - Joanna Bonawenturska, poet Ewa Zarębska, councilors, village heads, the head of the Housewives Association, seniors, and residents of Szabda.

Integration and a Heartfelt Atmosphere

The meeting was not only literary but also integrative. After the artistic part, refreshments, coffee, and tea awaited the guests, which fostered conversations in a heartfelt atmosphere. The event was very warmly received by the local community.
