The Scout House in Brodnica celebrates 10 years!

On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Scout House in Brodnica solemnly celebrated its 10th anniversary. For a decade, the building at Nad Drwęcą 30 Street has been a place for meetings, development, and service for scouts, children, youth, adults, and seniors. It's a true home that connects generations.

Celebrations and Guests

Distinguished guests attended the anniversary celebrations, including the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Piotr Całbecki, Member of the Management Board of the Voivodeship Marek Wojtkowski, Mayor of Brodnica Jarosław Radacz, Mayor of Jabłonowo-Pomorskie Marzanna Fettke, as well as representatives of the district authorities, uniformed services, clergy, social organizations, and schools. Scout authorities were also present: hm. Beata Bardzińska and phm. Paulina Kaszlewicz.

Remembering History

The ceremony began with a remembrance of the building's history, which during World War II was a place of arrest and interrogations by the Gestapo. A plaque commemorating the victims is located on the facade of the building, and scouts annually lay flowers and light candles, taking care of historical memory.

A Home that Connects Generations

During the ceremony, it was emphasized that the Scout House is not only a place for meetings, but also a space for initiatives such as Jadłodzielnia (Food Sharing Point), Pracownia Orange (Orange Workshop), Local Action Group, and the Harc-Dom project - a Day Care Center for seniors and people with disabilities. The Scout House is actively involved in helping those in need, conducting collections for flood victims and refugees from Ukraine.

Wishes and Congratulations

Numerous wishes and congratulations were expressed during the ceremony. Marshal Piotr Całbecki emphasized the role of scouting in building community, and Mayor of Brodnica Jarosław Radacz announced efforts to transfer a recreational and camping area in Cicha to the Brodnica Troop. Wishes were also conveyed by representatives of district authorities, organizations and institutions supporting the Scout House.
