The best district police officers of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship have been selected!

Final of the voivodeship eliminations for the XV National Police Officer Competition "District Officer of the Year"

On September 16 and 17, 2025, the voivodeship eliminations for the XV National Police Officer Competition "District Officer of the Year" took place in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. District officers and heads of district police units from municipal and district police headquarters competed in various competitions.

Competition Progress

The contestants were assessed in the following competitions:

Simulating the reception of a client
Shooting from firearms
Police knowledge test
First aid

Results

The winner of the voivodeship final and the winner of the title of "Best District Officer of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship" was senior aspirant Michał Tylak from the District Police Headquarters in Żnin. The next places were taken by junior aspirant Marcin Wojewódzki from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz (2nd place) and staff sergeant Daniel Zalewski from the District Police Headquarters in Inowrocław (3rd place).

Among the heads of district police units, the best was commissioner Mateusz Gdaniec from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz. He was followed by staff aspirant Tomasz Kawski from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Włocławek (2nd place) and staff aspirant Konrad Małecki from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Włocławek (3rd place).

In the team classification, the District Police Headquarters in Żnin, the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz and the District Police Headquarters in Inowrocław won.

Awards

Prizes and diplomas for the winners were funded by the Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz, Inspector Jakub Gorczyński. Prizes were also presented by the Vice-Chairman of the Provincial Board of the Independent Trade Union of Policemen of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Inspector Jerzy Kostrzewski.

National Final

The winners of the voivodeship eliminations will represent the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in the national finals, which will be held on October 21-24, 2025 at the Police School in Katowice.
