The end of the reconstruction of the Małki-Bobrowo county road is approaching

The reconstruction of county road No. 1826C on the Małki-Bobrowo section is nearing completion. The investment aims to increase the safety and comfort of travelers and residents. This reconstruction is also intended to improve conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.

Investment Details

The works include a 1.5-kilometer section of the road (from km 4+155 to km 5+651), the construction of a modern pedestrian and bicycle path, and the reconstruction of the intersection with county road No. 1819C. The contract with Przedsiębiorstwo Drogowo-Budowlane Sp. z o.o. was signed on March 17, the construction site was taken over on March 25, and work began on April 8. The completion of the works is planned for October.

Scope of work

The scope of works includes a new pavement with a width of 6 meters, improved road geometry, construction of a storm drainage system in Małki and drainage of rainwater. An important element is the separation of pedestrian and bicycle traffic from car traffic by building a pedestrian and bicycle path (2.5-3 meters) and a sidewalk for pedestrians (2 meters).

Additional amenities

After the reconstruction, the road will have new vertical and horizontal signage, traffic safety devices and hybrid LED lighting at pedestrian crossings, powered by solar and wind energy. The surface is made of asphalt concrete and concrete paving stones.

Financing

The total cost of the investment is approximately PLN 5 million. The reconstruction was 50% co-financed from the Government Road Development Fund. The remaining part was financed by the Brodnica County (70%) and Bobrowo Commune (30%). The contractor provided an 84-month warranty.
